The origin
What is aromatherapy?
Classic aromatherapy was used hundreds of years ago in various cultures. At that time, it was recognized that fragrances can have different effects on the body and the psyche.
Today, aromatherapy still uses essential oils extracted from flowers, leaves, fruits, roots or the bark of plants. Various methods are used to extract the volatile fragrances from the plants and bind them to an oil to preserve them.

TO THE ESSENTIAL OILSPOSSIBLE APPLICATIONS
The use of essential oils
Essential oils can be used wonderfully in a fragrance lamp or aroma diffuser. To do this, add around 4 to 8 drops of essential oil to a little water and diffuse in the fragrance lamp or diffuser using modern ultrasonic technology. Choose different oils to fill the room with an activating, relaxing, calming, concentration-enhancing or optimistic atmosphere.
The external use of essential oils in aromatherapy is also very popular. Mix a few drops of pure natural essential oil with a carrier oil, for example almond oil or wild rose oil, for a customized body care oil or massage oil - for a calming or stimulating effect.

Aromatherapy FAQs
Scent therapy with essential oils is part of herbal medicine. It makes use of the powerful, natural essences of plants to promote holistic health and well-being. Essential oils have the same effect on the body and mind, which is why aromatherapy can be used to treat both physical and mental complaints.
Aromatherapy supports health in a natural way
Aromatherapy is a useful addition to conventional medicine. It is based on centuries of experience and knowledge about the effects of plants and parts of plants. This form of therapy can help to balance the soul and alleviate physical complaints. Fragrance therapy is also easy to implement, as the active ingredients of natural essential oils are released as soon as you smell them.
Natural essential oils unfold their effect, for example, through:
- Direct inhalation or inhalation with hot water
- Nebulizing in the room using an aroma diffuser, room spray or fragrance lamp
- Adding to cosmetics such as hand cream or liquid soap
- Add to household cleaning products (e.g. as a bath additive)
- Massage (use a massage lotion or carrier oil as a base and apply to the affected area)
- Apply to aroma jewelry (e.g. from Aromawelt.de)
Just a few drops of the aroma oils we sell will surround you with a wonderful fragrance and conjure up a wonderful atmosphere.
In the Casida guide you will find even more suggestions on how you can easily carry out aromatherapy at home.
