Natural fragrance with the ceramic fragrance stone
A ceramic fragrance stone is the most natural and easiest way to diffuse essential oils throughout a room. Neither electricity nor heat is required, as the unglazed ceramic surface of the fragrance stone absorbs the essential oil and releases its fragrance over several hours.
A fragrance stone is therefore ideal for rooms where open flames or candles are not possible.
The Casida fragrance stone is lovingly handcrafted in the Lukaswerkstatt of the Diakonie Stadtmission Zwickau e.V. – each fragrance stone is truly unique.
Using the Fragrance Stone
The handmade ceramic fragrance stone is an eye-catcher in any room. Simply add a few drops of essential oil and enjoy the soothing scent. Before applying another oil, the scent can be neutralized by placing the fragrance stone in citric acid water for 10 minutes and rinsing with warm water.
Cleaning
Mix 1 tablespoon of citric acid with 200 ml of hot water. After the fragrance stone has been in the lemon water for 10 minutes, it can then be thoroughly rinsed under running water. This removes most stains and opens the pores of the stone, allowing the next fragrance to be applied to be released back into the room air.
For more stubborn stains or if not all discoloration has disappeared: apply an additional 1 teaspoon of baking soda and let it work.
