Algae are also a valuable source of plant-based omega-3 fatty acids, as are flaxseeds, chia seeds, walnuts, hemp seeds, and green leafy vegetables such as kale, spinach, and Brussels sprouts.

How does an omega-3 deficiency manifest itself?
