We differentiate between coconut fat and oil. Essentially, both terms describe the same product; they simply have different states of matter. While coconut fat is solid and is primarily used for cooking and baking, coconut oil is semi-solid. The melting point of the oil is approximately 23-26 degrees Celsius. Therefore, coconut oil is generally found in liquid form in tropical countries. In our cooler regions, coconut oil usually has a creamy white consistency. You first have to warm it between your palms and then spread it on your hair and skin.
For cosmetic applications, it is of course much nicer and easier if the coconut oil is already liquid and spreads comfortably on the skin. A slightly different manufacturing process has succeeded in lowering the melting point. The result is an odorless oil that is pleasantly fluid and easy to use. The spray attachment makes it particularly easy to apply to skin and hair, and the dosage is easy to control.
