Essential oils can be easily diffused with a ceramic fragrance stone. A fragrance stone is the optimal solution when electricity, water, and heat are unavailable. The unglazed, slightly porous surface absorbs the essential oil and releases the fragrance over time. The underside is glazed so that the oil cannot seep through to the surface. The glazed feet protect against scratches.

Using the Fragrance Stone

The handmade ceramic fragrance stone is an eye-catcher in any room. Simply add a few drops of essential oil and enjoy the pleasant scent. Before applying another oil, the scent can be neutralized by placing the fragrance stone in citric acid water for 10 minutes and rinsing it with warm water.

Cleaning

Mix 1 tablespoon of citric acid with 200 ml of hot water. After the fragrance stone has been in the lemon water for 10 minutes, it can then be thoroughly rinsed under running water. This removes most stains and opens the pores of the stone, allowing the next fragrance to be applied to be released into the room air.

For more stubborn stains or if not all of the discoloration has disappeared: apply an additional 1 teaspoon of baking soda and let it work.
