Acupressure can achieve significant effects in alleviating cold symptoms. For colds with nasal congestion, press the tips of both middle fingers on the inner point of the eyebrows and massage along the course of the eyebrows from the inside out a few times.
Then place your index fingers at the back ends of the nostrils and let your fingers vibrate lightly. Then rub the root of the nose on both sides where the connecting piece of the glasses rests for a glasses wearer.

An additional point is located on the sternum, where the fourth rib meets the sternum. If you feel the urge to cough while pressing and massaging this point, it is a good sign. Your body is responding to the acupressure. The point we mentioned in the last post, “Large Intestine 4,” can also alleviate cold symptoms. This point is located on the back of the hand at the end of the skin fold between the thumb and index finger. Use the thumb of the other hand to make circular, vibrating movements here. First work on the left hand, then the right hand. This application is ideal for preventing colds or for stopping them in the early stages. If you have already caught a cold, a stuffy nose can be relieved, the mucous membranes will swell down, and the healing of the inflammation will be supported.
