AH: We live in a society of abundance, where all food and luxury items are constantly available. A temporary renunciation of certain things is beneficial for both mental and physical health. Moreover, our modern lifestyle leads to an acidification of the body, which can be counteracted by targeted alkaline fasting.
What is special about alkaline fasting?
AH: Unlike other fasting methods, there is no need to go without food during alkaline fasting. It is more of a cure. During an alkaline cure, the proportion of alkaline foods, that is, foods with a high pH value, in the diet is increased to a ratio of 3:1. Accordingly, the diet during the cure should be 75 percent more alkaline and only 25 percent neutral or acid-forming. What does an alkaline cure do in the body?

AH: Yes, because there is a strong connection between diet and pH value in the blood. The pH value of the blood affects the functionality of the red blood pigment hemoglobin.
