- Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil
According to tradition, cedar oil is said to be the first essential oil in history. The calming and stabilizing properties are said to have been valued by the ancient Sumerians and Egyptians, the Asian healers and Siberian shamans. With a trunk diameter of 2 meters, the real Atlas cedar can grow up to 50 meters high and be up to 1000 years old. The balsamic scent has captivated people for thousands of years. The ancient Sumerians believed that cedar oil contained everything a person needed to protect their body, mind and soul. This essential oil is said to ensure happiness and well-being in all areas. In folk medicine, cedar oil has been used for hundreds of years for cold symptoms such as coughs and colds, for hay fever, for special skin care for wounds, congestion conditions such as lymphedema and cellulite and itching, to increase personal performance and for emotional well-being. It is said to be anti-inflammatory, expectorant, decongestant, promote blood circulation, promote wound healing and repel insects. The cedar has a stabilizing effect on the psyche. Cedar oil helps you find your inner center. It promotes self-confidence and physical and mental tension simply falls away. It helps to cope with transitions such as moving to another city, changing jobs, starting school or getting used to kindergarten. It is said to relieve anxiety and support reorientation. The balsamic, grounding scent calms and can be used alternatively or in combination with lavender oil. Important to know: True cedars have become rare. Therefore, oil from the cypress family is often used, but it has a higher thujone content. In small doses, thujone has an anti-inflammatory effect. However, too high a dose can be toxic and have an abortifacient effect. The product offered here, however, consists of pure Atlas cedar oil, also called cedarwood oil!
