Worth knowing Citronella is a reed-like, perennial grass that comes from Asia. The tough leaves smell fresh and citrusy. Psychologically, it has an exhilarating, mood-enhancing effect and is said to increase concentration and reduce stress. The typical scent repels insects like a natural protective shield. The oil has a disinfectant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antiperspirant effect. Direct, intense sunlight should be avoided immediately after application, as the oil can increase the skin's sensitivity to light. Application instructions: Essential oil for room scenting. Never use essential oils undiluted on the skin. Mix with a carrier oil (e.g. coconut, almond, jojoba oil) to avoid skin irritation. Out of caution, avoid use on babies, young children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers.
