Due to its astringent (astringent) properties, the skin pores are reduced, irritations and redness are soothed and excess fat formation is reduced. Witch hazel hydrolate is also popular treatment for insect bites, rashes, minor burns such as sunburn, shaving and other skin irritations.
For hair care, care of sensitive or oily and itching scalp, or with dandruff, witch hazel water can be used as a hair conditioner or sprayed directly to restore skin balance.
Refreshing for heavy, tired legs.Hamamelis hydrolate can also be sprayed on to care for the veins, varicose veins or hemorrhoids.
