Why “I plant a tree”?
The non-profit organization from Halle an der Saale has already planted over 400,000 trees in Germany. This enabled them to bind more than 25,000 tons of CO2. The organization “I plant a tree” is particularly innovative: Everyone – whether private individual or company – can easily donate trees in just a few steps. All planting areas are precisely documented and can be viewed online. It is important to support reforestation in Germany with native tree species. “I plant a tree” focuses on Germany because they can guarantee the trees are cared locally. There are also fewer administrative costs, no air travel or lengthy approval procedures – simple and direct.
