    1. what is upcycling?

Upcycling is the process of turning old products that have served their purpose into something new. The word is a play on the words " up" and "recycling". Why "up"? Upcycling creates added value. Something beautiful, useful or a work of art is created. We've all done upcycling when we were kids and made things with empty toilet rolls. Now it's up to you to be creative. We'll show you below how you can give our packaging a new, personal touch.

    2. upcycling ideas: Deodorant cream becomes a decorative tin

Our deodorant cream and tooth powder jars are made from recycled ocean plastic and have a metal screw-on lid, making them ideal for upcycling. Compact and space-saving, this small tin even has another advantage: it has an "extra compartment". This makes it ideal for storing tiny items such as beads, rhinestones or earrings. So how about a jewelry box made from ocean plastic?

    What you need:

First cut out a round piece of foam with the same dimensions as the tin, place it inside and carefully press the earrings into the sponge. Then you can let your inner designer run wild when gluing the lid. Fill the "extra compartment" with the plugs and you're done!

    3. lantern made from magnesium oil refill bottle

Use the cutter knife to separate the top from the rest of the bottle, trim the edges with scissors and tape off the remaining sharp edges with washi tape. Fill the bottle with decorative stones, cut the candle to size and decorate - done!

    What you need:

Tip: Instead of the decorative stones, you can also use collected natural materials such as moss, chestnuts or beechnuts.

    4. aloe vera gel bottle becomes a vase

You don't always have to decorate your home with large bouquets of flowers - a simple vase with meadow flowers adds just the right amount of minimalism to your home.

    What you need:

Washi tape is also a useful and pretty accessory compared to the tried and tested boring Sellotape. As with the magnesium bottle, once the cap has been removed and covered with iridescent halo paper, you can decorate as you wish!

    5. spray bottle becomes a brush holder

Small and inconspicuous, but extremely sturdy - perfect for holding make-up brushes. Its size also makes it suitable for traveling.

    What you need:

As usual, remove the seal, cut out the glitter paper to fit and stick on. Arrange the stickers and decorative beads individually and you have a holder for your brushes!

    6. make a pen holder from a capsule box

Finally, an idea for the drawing fans among you. If the packaging can hold brushes, then of course it can also hold pens. Spice up your desk with an eye-catcher!

    What you need:

This upcycling is really quick. Cut off the lid, cut and stick on the stickers and the pen holder is ready for epic projects.

Now we wish you lots of fun with your creative upcycling craft project. Feel free to tag us on Instagram and Facebook in your upcycling posts! We are excited!
